BANGKOK, Thailand – Travellers heading from Bangkok to eastern Thailand should check their route before departure after flooding forced private van and minibus operators to temporarily suspend seven services. The Transport Co. Ltd. (BKS) said high floodwater has blocked traffic on several roads in the East, although conditions in some areas are beginning to improve.
The suspended routes are:
- Route 46: Bangkok (Ekkamai)–Rayong
- Route 56: Bangkok (Ekkamai)–Phanom Sarakham
- Route 914: Bangkok (Ekkamai)–Chanthaburi
- Route 917: Bangkok (Ekkamai)–Laem Ngop
- Route 9916: Bangkok (Ekkamai)–Kabin Buri–Rong Kluea Market
- Route 915: Bangkok (Chatuchak)–Ban Khai–Ban Laem Mae Phim
- Route 921: Bangkok (Chatuchak)–Ongkharak–Rong Kluea Market
BKS said it is monitoring flood conditions around the clock and has instructed drivers and private operators to avoid roads with high water or other hazards. Services will resume when road conditions are considered safe.
