BANGKOK, Thailand – Bangkok traffic police are asking motorists who moved their vehicles onto the Theparak–Phahonyothin flyover to escape earlier flooding to move them off the bridge after water levels fell and the roads below returned to normal use.
Traffic officers from Bang Khen Police Station said vehicles left on the bridge could pose a safety risk and obstruct traffic now that normal traffic has resumed on Phahonyothin and Theparak roads.
Motorists can move their vehicles to the left lane of Theparak Road, where parking is currently possible because floodwater has receded. Police urged vehicle owners to remove their cars from the bridge promptly and exercise caution when travelling through the area as traffic returns to normal.
