Pattaya tourism office brings ‘Sea of Silence’ sand sculpture to Bangsaen Wan Lai festival

The Tourism Authority of Thailand Pattaya Office showcased its “Sea of Silence” sand sculpture during the Bangsaen Wan Lai festival.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Visitors to the Bangsaen Wan Lai sand pagoda festival this year were treated to a wide range of colorful and creative sculptures, with the local tourism office from Pattaya once again taking part in the annual tradition.

For the 2026 event, the Tourism Authority of Thailand Pattaya Office presented a sand sculpture under the concept “Sea of Silence,” featuring a playful small octopus design inspired by the sea.

The sculpture was displayed during the Bangsaen Wan Lai festival held on April 16-17 and attracted many visitors who stopped to take photos and scan a QR code placed at the site to learn more about the idea behind the artwork.



Officials said the annual sand pagoda competition remains one of the highlights of the Bangsaen Wan Lai celebrations, with different government agencies and organizations showcasing their own unique designs.

Festivalgoers were encouraged to stop by the Pattaya tourism sculpture, take photos with the octopus-themed artwork, and share their images online.
