PATTAYA, Thailand – A foreign tourist was seriously injured after being struck by a motorcycle while crossing Pattaya Beach Road in the early hours of April 3.
The incident occurred at around 3:00 a.m., prompting Pattaya municipal officers to respond and assist with traffic control while coordinating emergency services at the scene.
Initial reports indicate that the pedestrian, a foreign national, sustained severe head injuries. The motorcycle rider, a Thai national, suffered minor injuries.
Authorities quickly coordinated with police from Pattaya City Police Station and rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Foundation, who provided first aid before transporting the injured to a nearby hospital.
The incident has once again raised concerns over late-night road safety in Pattaya, particularly along busy beachfront routes where visibility, speed, and pedestrian movement can create dangerous conditions.
