PATTAYA, Thailand – Mayor Poramet Ngampichet has inspected progress on the long-awaited road improvement project along the railway line near Khao Talo, as authorities move to ease travel disruptions for local residents.

During the site visit on April 1, the mayor was joined by Deputy Mayor Manot Nongyai and city officials to assess construction progress and its impact on the surrounding community.

The road, which had previously been closed due to ongoing construction works, has now been partially reopened to traffic. Motorists can currently use sections between Khao Talo intersection and Chaiyaphruek Road, helping to relieve congestion and improve daily commutes.

City officials said additional work, including road marking and lane painting, will be completed in the next phase.

The mayor has instructed contractors to accelerate progress to ensure the project is completed within the agreed timeframe, while maintaining strict safety standards at the construction site.

Authorities have also emphasized the importance of minimizing disruption to residents by controlling dust, reducing noise, and keeping public areas clean throughout the construction period.

Pattaya City has confirmed it will continue to closely monitor the project to ensure it delivers maximum benefit to the public while maintaining safety and quality standards.
