PATTAYA, Thailand – Hot and hazy conditions are expected to dominate Pattaya in the coming days, as the Thai Meteorological Department warns of rising temperatures and reduced air circulation across much of the country.
While the most intense heat is forecast for parts of the North, Northeast, and Central regions, eastern areas including Pattaya are also experiencing typical hot-season conditions, with daytime temperatures climbing and skies turning hazy.
The department said a low-pressure system caused by heat is currently covering upper Thailand, resulting in generally hot weather nationwide. At the same time, weak southerly and southeasterly winds are limiting air movement, contributing to the buildup of haze and reduced air quality in some areas.
In Pattaya and surrounding coastal zones, residents and visitors can expect hot days with partly hazy skies, especially around midday. Although isolated thunderstorms and gusty winds may still occur, they are expected to be less frequent than in previous days.
Health officials are advising people to take precautions during the hot spell, including staying hydrated and avoiding prolonged outdoor activities during peak heat hours. The risk of heat-related illnesses increases during periods of intense heat, particularly for those working outdoors.
Air quality is also a concern, with dust and haze levels ranging from moderate to relatively high in several regions due to limited ventilation. While coastal breezes may provide some relief in Pattaya, conditions can still feel uncomfortable during the hottest parts of the day.
With temperatures expected to remain high and rain activity limited, authorities are urging the public to stay alert to changing weather conditions and take care of their health during this period of sustained heat.
