BANGKOK, Thailand – NTT DATA hosted “CyberSec Tech Day 2026” at Grande Centre Point Lumphini Hotel, bringing together industry experts to share the latest trends and strategies in cybersecurity. The event highlighted the need for organizations to transition toward AI-driven security to better address increasingly complex digital threats.
Cybersecurity experts from both the public and private sectors noted that the rapid growth of cloud, microservices, and AI technologies is making enterprise IT environments more complex. This expansion is increasing the number of potential entry points for cyberattacks, posing challenges for traditional security systems to keep up.
According to the CrowdStrike 2024–2025 State of Application Security Report, 46% of code is deployed without comprehensive security review, while 52% of vulnerabilities originate from applications. This underscores that applications have become one of the primary targets for cyberattacks today—particularly in AI-driven environments, where threats are becoming more sophisticated amid these evolving challenges.
Mr. Thanapong Ittisakulchai, Managing Director of NTT DATA (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said, “AI is transforming both the business landscape and the cybersecurity environment. Organizations can no longer treat security as a final step in development; it must be embedded from the beginning to ensure innovation can scale securely and sustainably.”
To address these challenges, discussions at the event emphasized the need to shift from reactive to proactive cybersecurity approaches. Leveraging AI for continuous threat detection and analysis, alongside strengthening workforce capabilities, risk management, and disaster recovery planning, will be key to building long-term cyber resilience.
The event was supported by more than 29 technology partners, reflecting strong industry collaboration to enhance Thailand’s cybersecurity ecosystem and support organizations in adapting their strategies for an AI-driven digital economy. (NNT)
