BANGKOK, Thailand – Lieutenant General Weerayuth Raksilp, commander of the 2nd Army Area, has presided over a ceremony honoring soldiers who were fatally wounded during the Thailand–Cambodia border clash, with support from Charoen Pokphand Group Co., Ltd. The event included the presentation of the Bang Rachan Medal, certificates of recognition, scholarships, and financial assistance to the children and families of the fallen personnel at the headquarters of the 2nd Army Area.

Military representatives and the deceased’s families expressed appreciation to Charoen Pokphand Group for providing scholarships and financial assistance.

Officials said the ceremony recognized the service and sacrifice of military personnel while offering encouragement to their families. The Bang Rachan Medal was presented as a symbol of honor for the courage and dedication of soldiers who died while serving the country.

The 2nd Army Area also paid tribute to the fallen personnel and extended support to their families, acknowledging the role families play in supporting members of the armed forces while paying respects to those who lost their lives while protecting Thailand. (NNT)
