
BANGKOK, Thailand – Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya has delivered a special lecture at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended by Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow, senior ministry officials, ambassadors, consuls-general, defense attachés, and their spouses.
The lecture addressed royal protocol in receiving members of the Royal Family and guidance on the Royal-Endorsed Thai Dress, known as Chut Thai Phra Ratcha Niyom. Her Royal Highness also shared guidance on proper conduct in official duties related to royal protocol and discussed her work in music, sports, and the arts.
During the visit, Princess Sirivannavari viewed an exhibition organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that presented activities related to her work in foreign affairs. The display showcased efforts to support international relations and promote Thailand’s image abroad through cultural fields, including music, sports, Thai textiles, and traditional handicrafts. It also included the proposal to nominate the knowledge and craftsmanship of the Thai national costume for inscription on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list.
Her Royal Highness also viewed exhibitions of Thai textiles presented by the SUPPORT Foundation of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, as well as outstanding OTOP products from several provinces. The visit concluded with stops at the Department of European Affairs and the ministry’s situation-monitoring center, established to assess developments related to tensions in the Middle East.
