PATTAYA, Thailand – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), together with government agencies and private-sector partners, is closely monitoring developments in the Middle East and coordinating support for tourists affected by flight or travel disruptions, with key destinations including Pattaya now fully engaged in response measures.

TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool emphasized that Thailand prioritizes the safety and well-being of all tourists, confirming that tourism stakeholders nationwide — including operators in Pattaya — are working together to assist travelers impacted by unrest in the Middle East. TAT continues to serve as the main communication channel, providing accurate updates to businesses and visitors through its regional offices in Phuket, Krabi, Phang Nga, and Pattaya.

Local tourism associations and hotel groups in Pattaya, Phuket, Krabi, and Phang Nga have introduced flexible rescheduling and cancellation policies, special rates for extended stays, and enhanced information services. In Pattaya, hotels and tourism operators are coordinating closely to accommodate guests facing delayed departures, reinforcing the city’s reputation for resilience and visitor support.

Meanwhile, Airports of Thailand (AOT) has strengthened passenger assistance at airports by providing additional flight information, distributing drinking water to waiting travelers, and coordinating with airlines to manage disrupted schedules.

Officials stressed that Thailand stands ready to assist visitors facing any kind of travel difficulty, whether related to flight cancellations, accommodation issues, or onward travel arrangements. Authorities say the country remains fully open and committed to ensuring that every traveler receives support, clear information, and practical help during unexpected disruptions.

Beyond immediate assistance, the government is rolling out proactive policies to cushion potential tourism impacts. Short-term measures aim to stimulate domestic travel and sustain economic momentum, while long-term strategies focus on strengthening Thailand’s role as a secondary aviation hub to enhance international connectivity and resilience.

Travelers planning to visit the Middle East or nearby regions are advised to check flight status directly with airlines. For further assistance, contact the AOT Contact Center at 1722, the TAT Call Center at 1672 Travel Buddy, or the Tourist Police hotline at 1155.
