PATTAYA, Thailand – The Meteorological Department reported that temperatures across upper Thailand are rising, including in Pattaya and the eastern seaboard, though cool weather and morning fog will persist in some areas.
In its 24-hour forecast, the department said the high-pressure system covering upper Thailand is weakening, allowing temperatures to increase by 1–2 degrees Celsius. Despite the warmer trend, residents are advised to take care of their health as weather conditions fluctuate and to exercise caution when traveling in foggy conditions, particularly in the early morning.
For Pattaya and nearby coastal areas, skies will be partly cloudy with light morning fog. Temperatures are expected to range from 24–26°C in the morning, rising to highs of 35–36°C during the day.
In southern Thailand, the northeast monsoon remains moderate, bringing heavy rain to some areas and causing moderate sea conditions. In the lower Gulf of Thailand, waves are expected to reach around 2 meters, while the upper Gulf and offshore areas of the Andaman Sea will see waves of 1–2 meters. Waves may exceed 2 meters during thunderstorms.
Mariners operating in the Gulf of Thailand near Pattaya and surrounding waters are urged to proceed with caution and avoid sailing in areas experiencing thunderstorms.
Air quality in upper Thailand, including the eastern region, remains at moderate levels, with dust and haze accumulation due to weak air circulation.
Authorities continue to advise residents, tourists, and boat operators in Pattaya to stay updated on weather conditions, particularly those planning marine activities.
