PATTAYA, Thailand – A fire broke out on New Year’s Day afternoon behind a hotel in Soi 12, Beach Road, sending thick plumes of smoke into the air and drawing the attention of residents, tourists, and passersby in central Pattaya.
Pattaya City municipal officers coordinated with local fire and rescue teams to secure the area and manage the situation. Firefighters responded swiftly and were able to bring the blaze under control in a short time, preventing it from spreading to nearby buildings.
Following the successful containment of the fire, authorities began clearing the area and conducting safety checks to ensure no remaining hotspots or fire risks were present.
Officials confirmed that there were no reported injuries as a result of the incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
