
BANGKOK, Thailand – The Election Commission of Thailand (EC) has confirmed its readiness to accept applications for party-list Members of the House of Representatives (MPs) and to oversee the general election and referendum on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
EC Chairman Narong Klanwarin stated that 52 political parties registered before 8:30 a.m. All parties must complete document verification to be eligible for the ballot draw to ensure an orderly and transparent process.
The EC also confirmed its readiness to accept party-list MP applications, receive notifications of Prime Minister nominees from political parties, and conduct the nationwide election and referendum on the same date.
The Commission reminded voters that advance voting registration must be completed by January 5, 2026. If a referendum is officially announced, voters who wish to vote outside their constituency may register between January 3 and 5, 2026.
