PATTAYA, Thailand – The CEO of Transport Co., Ltd. (BorKorSor) has inspected travel operations at Bangkok’s Mo Chit 2 Bus Terminal as New Year holiday travel surged, confirming that nearly 137,000 passengers were handled smoothly on December 27 and that the terminal was fully cleared by midnight.
Mr. Atthawit Rakjamroen, Managing Director of Transport Co., Ltd. (BorKorSor), said he visited Platforms 1 and 2 at Mo Chit 2 on Friday evening to monitor services for passengers returning to their hometowns or traveling during the year-end holidays. He instructed staff to provide courteous service and urged operators to strictly manage bus schedules to ensure order, sufficient capacity, and prevent stranded passengers.
According to BorKorSor, 83,764 passengers departed Bangkok and 53,217 passengers arrived on December 27, totaling 136,981 travelers. A combined 7,507 bus trips were operated, including BorKorSor and joint-service buses. Authorities confirmed that all outbound passengers were transported successfully, with no backlogs remaining at Mo Chit 2 after midnight.
For December 28, BorKorSor expects continued heavy travel, estimating 100,000–120,000 passengers using more than 6,000 bus trips nationwide. To support peak demand, nearly 1,000 additional charter buses have been deployed.

Pattaya Travelers Included in Advisory
While most long-distance travelers are heading to the North and Northeast, BorKorSor reminded Pattaya-bound and Pattaya-departing passengers to carefully check their tickets and boarding points, especially for evening departures after 6:00 p.m. Due to congestion around Bangkok’s transport hubs and highways during the New Year period, travelers connecting to Pattaya or onward from Pattaya to other provinces are advised to allow extra travel time.
On December 28, regular BorKorSor buses will depart from Mo Chit 2, while supplementary buses will depart from Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal (Gate 2). Passengers are strongly advised to arrive at terminals at least one hour before departure.
Passengers can check schedules and book tickets via the BorKorSor website, mobile e-ticket application, Facebook page “BorKorSor,” Line account @TCL99, ticket counters nationwide, or by calling 0-2936-3660.
