King and Queen extend royal support to border personnel injured in Thai–Cambodian tensions

Surin Governor Charoen Waenphet presents royal vases of flowers and gift baskets, bestowed by His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen, to injured personnel receiving treatment at Prasat Hospital, following incidents along the Thai–Cambodian border.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The governor of Surin province has visited Prasat Hospital to present royal vases of flowers and gift baskets to four personnel injured in connection with the Thai–Cambodian border situation. The items were bestowed by His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen to support the recovery and morale of those receiving treatment.

Acting on royal orders, Governor Charoen Waenphet delivered the gifts to injured personnel during the hospital visit.



The four were injured in separate incidents along the border and were admitted to Prasat Hospital on December 24 and 25, where they continue to receive medical care.

His Majesty the King also ordered that all personnel injured as a result of unrest in the Thai–Cambodian border provinces be placed under royal patronage, a step that brought reassurance and appreciation to the injured personnel and their families. (NNT)
