PATTAYA, Thailand — Rotary E-Club Dolphin Pattaya brought smiles and festive cheer to blind children in Pattaya by hosting a special Christmas charity event, providing lunch, gifts, and financial support worth more than 80,000 baht.
The event took place on December 22, at the Redemptorist School for the Blind, Pattaya. The initiative was led by Ms. Ilona Landgraf-Strobel, President of Rotary E-Club Dolphin Pattaya, together with Ms. Chananda Kongpol, Assistant Governor of Rotary International District 3340, and Dr. Margret Deter, Founding President of the club, along with club members and supporters.
As part of the Christmas celebration, the Rotary team treated the students to a lunch of KFC fried chicken and ice cream, a menu specially chosen based on the children’s preferences. The simple but thoughtful meal created a warm and joyful atmosphere, filling the school with laughter and smiles ahead of the holiday season.

The group was warmly welcomed by Father Worawut Sanraphan, School Director, along with teachers and students, who expressed sincere appreciation for the Rotary club’s continued kindness and support for visually impaired children.
In addition to the meal, the club organized a Christmas lucky draw, distributing cash gifts ranging from 200 to 500 baht per envelope, with total donations exceeding 80,000 baht. The funds will help support the students and ease some of the school’s operational expenses.
Organisers said the activity reflected the true spirit of Christmas and Rotary’s commitment to service, compassion, and creating meaningful opportunities for disadvantaged children, while helping improve their quality of life in a sustainable way.
