Their Majesties the King and Queen preside over the award ceremony of the 37th Phuket King’s Cup Regatta 2025, arriving at Beyond Kata Hotel and later boarding the royal vessel to observe Team Vayu’s IRC Zero Class preparations—an inspiring moment for competitors and spectators at Asia’s premier sailing event.

PHUKET, Thailand – Their Majesties the King and Queen presided over the award presentation ceremony for the winners of the 37th Phuket King’s Cup Regatta 2025 in Phuket.

On December 6, 2025, Their Majesties arrived at Beyond Kata Hotel in Muang District, Phuket, where they were received by Phuket Governor Nirat Pongsitthithaworn, President of the Phuket Red Cross Society Kusumal Pongsitthithaworn, Phuket Deputy Governor and Deputy Commander of the Royal Thai Navy Region 2 Rear Admiral Adul Chuthong, the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy, the President of the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, event organizers, and competing athletes. A large number of residents and visitors gathered along the route to pay their respects as Their Majesties proceeded to the beachfront area behind the hotel.



Their Majesties then boarded the royal vessel and traveled to observe the IRC Zero Class racing yacht of Team Vayu. His Majesty the King viewed the team’s preparations ahead of the competition, while Her Majesty the Queen also joined the visit aboard the vessel. Following the observation, Their Majesties returned to the royal vessel and departed for the hotel.

The Phuket King’s Cup Regatta, one of Asia’s most prestigious sailing events, is held annually in honor of His Majesty the King and continues to attract world-class sailors from around the globe. (NNT)
