PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya is set to experience cool mornings, light haze, and the possibility of isolated showers as a new cold surge from China begins pushing deeper into Thailand, according to the Meteorological Department.
The moderate high-pressure system has already settled over the upper North and Northeast and is moving steadily southward. Combined with moist easterly winds blowing across the lower Northeast, the East, the Gulf of Thailand, and the South, the weather pattern will bring slightly cooler mornings to Pattaya along with occasional brief rain or thunderstorms, though most periods will remain dry.
Residents are advised to take care of their health during the cooler early hours and remain cautious while traveling, particularly in the morning when patches of mist may form along coastal and inland routes. Authorities also warned of an increased fire risk in some parts of the East due to lingering dry conditions.
Air quality may fluctuate throughout the day as light winds over central and eastern Thailand continue to trap dust and haze. Pattaya is expected to see moderate PM2.5 accumulation, especially in the morning, before conditions improve with the daytime breeze.
Temperatures in Pattaya will range from 24–26°C in the morning to about 33–34°C in the afternoon. The sea will be slightly choppy, with waves around 1 meter and higher in areas with thunderstorms, so small boats are advised to use caution.
The Meteorological Department encourages residents to monitor forecasts closely as the cold surge continues to spread across more regions in the days ahead.
