
PATTAYA, Thailand – Thai Airways has clarified that it is not affected by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Emergency Airworthiness Directive (AD 2025-0268-E) issued on 28 November 2025 concerning ELAC flight control units.
The directive requires Airbus A319, A320, and A321 aircraft equipped with the ELAC B L104 unit to have the device replaced before any flight from 29 November 2025. Thai Airways confirmed that its Airbus A320 fleet is not equipped with the ELAC B L104 unit and therefore is not subject to the directive.
The airline emphasized that all its flights strictly comply with international safety regulations and that Thai Airways continues to monitor announcements, requirements, and recommendations from regulatory authorities and aircraft manufacturers to ensure the highest level of passenger safety.
