
BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister’s Office Minister Supamas Isarabhakdi has received donated items for southern flood relief and reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to alleviating public hardship.
The Minister, accompanied by Advisor to the Minister Cherdsak Phokakulkanon, visited the donation center operated by the Public Relations Office Region 2 in Ubon Ratchathani Province. The delegation was welcomed by Ubon Ratchathani Governor Narong Thepsena, Deputy Director-General of the Public Relations Department Chaiwat Boonchawalit, and senior officials from government and provincial agencies.
Supamas stated that the Government, under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, is closely monitoring the flooding situation in the South and coordinating support measures across all sectors. Efforts include evacuating affected individuals, delivering essential supplies, and providing temporary shelters. She added that donation centers have been established at Public Relations Offices Region 1 to 8, excluding Region 6 in Songkhla, which is directly affected, so that the public nationwide may contribute essential goods, clothing, medicines, and daily necessities. Donations are accepted every day from 08.30 AM to 6.00 PM.
During her visit, the Minister received donated items from residents in Ubon Ratchathani and encouraged people nationwide to continue supporting flood-affected communities in the South. She emphasized that the Government is working at full capacity to reduce impacts and losses and urged the public to follow updates from state media channels such as NBT and MCOT for accurate information.
