PATTAYA, Thailand – The Meteorological Department has issued a weather update as much of Thailand experiences cooler temperatures and heavy rainfall in the south. For Pattaya and the Eastern region, mornings are expected to be cool, with temperatures ranging from 20–23°C and daytime highs reaching 28–31°C. Northeast winds blow at 20–40 km/h, bringing a brisk feel, particularly along the coast.

Meanwhile, southern provinces from Nakhon Si Thammarat downwards are facing heavy to very heavy rainfall, with a risk of flash floods and sudden runoff in low-lying and hilly areas. The northeast monsoon and a low-pressure system in the southern region are driving rough seas, with waves in the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea reaching 2–3 meters and exceeding 3 meters in stormy areas. Small vessels are advised to remain in port, and larger boats should exercise extreme caution.

Residents in Pattaya are advised to dress warmly in the mornings, enjoy sunny afternoons, secure outdoor belongings against strong winds, and stay updated on weather advisories as conditions evolve. Farmers should take precautions to protect crops from sudden temperature drops and strong winds, while coastal operators and tourists should exercise care along the shoreline.
