PATTAYA, Thailand – The Meteorological Department has forecast cooler weather for the eastern region, including Pattaya and the greater Bangkok metropolitan area, with temperatures dropping 1–2 degrees Celsius. Residents are advised to take care of their health as strong winds make the morning feel colder than the actual temperature.

Morning lows in Pattaya are expected around 21–23°C, with daytime highs reaching 30–31°C. The department also warned that northern and northeastern provinces are experiencing cold to chilly conditions due to a strong high-pressure system from China spreading across Thailand.

Meanwhile, southern Thailand is under heavy rain as the northeast monsoon sweeps across the Gulf of Thailand and the upper Andaman Sea. Residents in southern provinces should be cautious of flash floods and landslides, particularly in hillside and low-lying areas. Strong winds are creating waves of 2–3 meters in the Gulf of Thailand and upper Andaman Sea, rising over 3 meters in areas experiencing thunderstorms. Fishermen are advised to avoid venturing out, and small boats should remain in port.

For Pattaya, travelers and locals can expect cool breezes, especially in the early morning and evening, making it a perfect time for outdoor activities—though umbrellas and jackets are recommended for sudden gusts and occasional showers.
