Defense Minister Nattaphon inspects Thai–Cambodian border, boosts troop morale in Sisaket

Gen Nattaphon Narkphanit visits key outposts in Kantharalak district to assess readiness, meet with soldiers, and reinforce support for frontline forces safeguarding Thailand’s border security.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Minister of Defense Gen Nattaphon Narkphanit has visited the Thai–Cambodian border in Kantharalak district, Sisaket province, to assess operational readiness and support troops stationed along the frontier. The visit included inspections of key outposts and discussions with military personnel about living and working conditions in the area.

Gen Nattaphon was welcomed by Lt Gen Weerayuth Raksilp, Commander of the 2nd Army Area, and Maj Gen Sompop Pharawet, Commander of the 6th Infantry Division and the Suranaree Task Force. The commanders provided updates on the local security situation and accompanied him to Phu Makhua, Phlan Yao, and Pom Poon bases.



Gen Nattaphon met with soldiers on the ground, shared a meal with them, and distributed essential supplies to support their daily duties. His visit also included on-site reviews of logistics and preparedness across the area of responsibility.

The Defense Minister stressed the importance of maintaining strong morale and ensuring that frontline personnel are fully equipped to carry out their missions in protecting peace and security along the border.
