BANGKOK, Thailand – The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has launched a free public hotline to support those traveling to pay respects to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother at the Grand Palace. The 1818 hotline, operated in collaboration with the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) and National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT), began service on 9 November 2025 and is available daily from 8:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.

The hotline provides comprehensive guidance for the public, including details on schedules and procedures for entering the Grand Palace, appropriate attire, and general conduct during the ceremony. Operators can also offer travel recommendations, such as public transport routes, nearby parking locations, and information on service points around Sanam Luang, including restrooms, medical assistance, food service areas, and a clothing lending station.

The public can also use the hotline to request coordination when traveling as a group, or to express interest in donating food, drinks, or supplies for those in attendance. To ensure smooth communication, the BMA has assigned dedicated staff to manage five hotline lines, ensuring courteous and clear assistance throughout the day.

Officials emphasize that the 1818 hotline reflects Bangkok’s readiness to provide accessible, well-organized, and dignified support to all visitors attending this solemn occasion. The service aims to ensure safety, convenience, and respect as the nation comes together to honour Her Majesty The Queen Mother. (NNT)
