PATTAYA, Thailand – Residents and visitors in Pattaya are experiencing a cloudy and cooler day, as Thailand’s Meteorological Department reports widespread unsettled weather across the country. The Gulf Coast city shows gray skies and a somber atmosphere, with temperatures slightly higher than Friday but still relatively cool in the mornings, contributing to a gloomy mood.
According to the Department of Meteorology, the southern regions, including parts of the Gulf Coast, are seeing heavy to very heavy rainfall in some areas due to strong monsoon troughs and moderate northeast monsoon winds. For Pattaya and the eastern Gulf Coast, scattered thunderstorms are expected, with winds from the northeast at 10–20 km/h. Sea conditions remain moderate, with waves around 1 meter, rising above 2 meters in areas with thunderstorms.
Thailand’s upper regions are experiencing warmer daytime temperatures, rising 1–2 degrees Celsius, though the northern, northeastern, and central regions remain cool in the mornings, with only light showers in some areas. Meanwhile, southern provinces such as Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Phang Nga, Phuket, and Krabi are under warnings for localized heavy rainfall. Residents are advised to be cautious of potential flooding and difficult travel conditions.
For Pattaya, the forecast calls for cloudy skies throughout the day, with temperatures ranging from 25–34 degrees Celsius. The day’s overcast conditions and cooler-than-usual mornings are expected to persist, giving the city a grim, subdued atmosphere, typical of late October weather influenced by seasonal monsoon patterns.
