Bangkok lights up for the grandest Diwali celebration outside India

Streets of Phahurat and Khlong Ong Ang dazzle with lights, music, and cultural performances as the Amazing Thailand Grand Diwali Festival 2025 brings together Thai–Indian traditions in a radiant celebration of faith and friendship.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The lights of faith are shining bright across Bangkok!

Celebrate the Amazing Thailand Grand Diwali Festival 2025 – the grandest Festival of Lights outside India – from 16–31 October 2025 at Phahurat and Khlong Ong Ang.

At Phahurat, witness streets illuminated with stunning light decorations until 31 October.

Enjoy daily Thai–Indian cultural performances from 18–20 October, including Ajjagap and Lotus Lantern Dances, contemporary Bharatanatyam, Bihu, and Bollywood shows.

Be dazzled by the Happiness Troop parade honouring Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha, together with vibrant Bollywood-style performances.

Mini concerts feature top Thai artists — Ja Nongpanee and Musketeers (18 Oct, 20.00 and 21.00), Mirrr and Prang Prangthip (19 Oct, 20.30 and 21.30), and Meenra Intira and ZANI (20 Oct, 20.00 and 21.00).

The official opening ceremony will take place on 19 October 2025 at Phahurat.

At Khlong Ong Ang, shimmering reflections and creative displays of Rangoli and Diyas – timeless symbols of light, hope, and faith – will illuminate the canalside.

From 16–20 October, Indian cultural performances will be staged three times daily (17.00, 19.00, 21.00) alongside lively DHOL drum shows at 16.30, 18.00, and 20.00.
