PATTAYA, Thailand – Tourists in Pattaya are advised to stay alert as Thailand continues to experience scattered thunderstorms and heavy rainfall in some areas, including the eastern region, Bangkok, and surrounding provinces. Visitors may see sunny skies in the morning, but sudden downpours can occur throughout the day.

The Thai Meteorological Department reports that monsoon troughs stretch across northern, central, and northeastern regions, while the southwest monsoon brings moderate winds over the Andaman Sea, southern Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand. This combination increases the risk of heavy, sudden showers and localized flooding.

Local authorities warn tourists to avoid outdoor activities during thunderstorms, carry umbrellas or raincoats, and monitor weather updates. Pattaya beaches and open markets may see sudden rain, even when the sun is shining.
