
BANGKOK, Thailand – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, on September 7, sent a letter congratulating Anutin Charnvirakul on his appointment as Thailand’s 32nd Prime Minister. In the letter, Hun Manet expressed confidence that under Anutin’s capable leadership, Thailand would achieve significant progress and prosperity.
The Cambodian Prime Minister emphasized his anticipation of working closely with Thailand’s new leader to restore bilateral relations to normalcy and stability, ensuring that the shared border between the two countries returns to a state of peace.
In his message, Hun Manet highlighted the geographic proximity and ASEAN partnership of the two nations, noting that peace, harmony, and shared prosperity are the aspirations of the peoples of both countries. He expressed strong hope that through joint commitment and close cooperation, both Thai and Cambodian citizens would enjoy sustainable progress, development, and well-being.
The letter concluded with a reaffirmation of Hun Manet’s intent to work closely with Prime Minister Anutin to rebuild trust, strengthen bilateral ties, and transform the shared border into a zone of peace, cooperation, and mutual prosperity.
