2nd Army Commander boosts morale of troops on Thai–Cambodian border

BANGKOK, Thailand – Lieutenant General Boonsin Padklang, Commander of the 2nd Army Area, has visited troops from the 24th Infantry Battalion stationed along the Thai–Cambodian border to raise morale and review operational readiness. He was joined by senior officers and welcomed on-site by Lieutenant Colonel Aniwat Sirikhuang, the battalion commander.

The visit was seen as a show of support for soldiers deployed in a high-tension area. Lt Gen Boonsin acknowledged their dedication to protecting Thailand’s sovereignty and presented care packages, along with messages of encouragement from military leaders and the public.



The 2nd Army Area Commander also prepared and shared a meal with personnel of all ranks, reinforcing unity and trust during a period of heightened alert along the border.

Thai forces continue to monitor developments along the frontier with Cambodia. Military units remain on standby as both sides maintain a visible presence while responding to shifting conditions on the ground. (NNT)
