PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya City enforcement officers recently conducted inspections along Pattaya Third Road to remove unauthorized signs placed on sidewalks that were being misused as public urination spots. The signs not only created a foul smell but also caused inconvenience for pedestrians and residents.
City officials promptly dismantled the signs and removed them, reinforcing that sidewalks and public spaces must remain clear and accessible. Pattaya authorities warned that any person or business placing objects or structures on public areas without permission is violating the law and may face legal action.
Residents expressed their support for the city’s efforts, urging strict enforcement and fines for offenders. Many also highlighted other areas in need of attention, including outside Wat Sutthawat and near Big C Pattaya South, where cones and other objects obstruct pedestrian access.
Mayor Poramet Ngampichet emphasized that maintaining safe and clean public spaces is essential for the well-being of residents and visitors alike.
