
PATTAYA, Thailand – The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), in collaboration with the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO) and public–private sector partners, launched the EEC EXPO 2025: Opportunity for Prosperity at the Bhiraj Convention Center, BITEC Bangna.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Minister of Industry Ekanat Promphan, with TCEB Director Dr. Supawan Teerarat, representatives from the three EEC provinces, and key officials from the Ministries of Industry, Labor, and Education in attendance.
Representing Pattaya City, Deputy Mayor Thithipan Phettrakun joined the event, where Pattaya showcased its readiness to support the growth of the EEC. Highlights included the city’s Smart Safety Alert System, Smart Traffic solutions, and the “Pattaya Connect” application designed to enhance urban development and connectivity.
The EEC EXPO featured keynote sessions on “EEC 2023 Vision: Driving Thailand’s Economic Future” and presentations on major infrastructure projects (Mega Project, Mega Impact), clean energy, and sustainable water management. More than 400 regional business operators joined business-matching sessions.
TCEB emphasized that MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions) is a crucial driver of Thailand’s economy, positioning the EEC as an international business hub while generating long-term value for local communities. Organizers expect the event to create over 250 million baht in business value for the region.
