PATTAYA, Thailand – Tuesday, August 5 – The day started blistering hot as two groups gathered over coffee before tackling the challenging Mountain Shadow course. The course was in good condition, but the relentless heat took its toll on everyone’s game. True to its reputation, Mountain Shadow proved tough, and the scores reflected the challenge — no player managed to break the 30-point Stableford mark, a rare and humbling outcome.
Despite this, spirits stayed high, with low handicappers showing their class. Allan Cassin took first place with 28 points, followed by Nigel Irvine’s 27 points who edged out Steve Lunt on countback. Near pins went to Robin Simons and Steve Lunt, though Robin unfortunately claimed the dreaded spoon.
Results:
1st Allan Cassin (11) – 28 points
2nd Nigel Irvine (6) – 27 points
