Mayor Poramet welcomes the selection of the city as the ideal hub for the 2026 Tomorrowland festival, highlighting its close location to Bangkok and easy access to major airports as key advantages for attracting international visitors.

PATTAYA, Thailand — Pattaya is gearing up to welcome the internationally acclaimed EDM festival, Tomorrowland, starting late 2026, after the Thai Cabinet approved the use of “Wisdom Valley” in Khao Mai Kaew, Chonburi Province, as the official festival site.

Mayor Poramet Ngampichet announced that the Cabinet’s endorsement followed a proposal from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, granting a private company the rights to organize Tomorrowland in Thailand for five consecutive years. The selected venue, Wisdom Valley, is strategically located near Pattaya, with easy access from the motorway and key transportation networks in the Eastern Economic Corridor.

Although the event will not take place directly on Pattaya Beach as previously rumored—due to the beach’s inability to accommodate the massive expected crowd of hundreds of thousands—Pattaya remains the main hub for visitor accommodation, dining, attractions, and supporting services. The government estimates that over the five-year festival period, Tomorrowland will generate more than 20 billion baht in revenue and attract over one million attendees worldwide.

Mayor Poramet emphasized Pattaya’s readiness to support the event through coordination with relevant agencies, traffic management, security arrangements, and public relations. “This is a significant opportunity to elevate Pattaya as a true global event city,” he said.

He added that Tomorrowland would create numerous local jobs—from security and sanitation to construction and logistical support—as the Wisdom Valley site may require upgrades or expansion to handle the large-scale event. This will benefit Pattaya’s economy by boosting employment and service demands related to artists and visitors. Local businesses are encouraged to prepare to capitalize on this major opportunity and help position Pattaya as a premier international event destination.

Supporting this, Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaiboon, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), highlighted that the chosen location in Chonburi is ideal due to its proximity to Bangkok and convenient access to major airports such as Suvarnabhumi, U-Tapao, and Don Mueang. This accessibility is expected to attract global tourists not only for the festival but also to explore Thailand’s broader attractions. Chonburi’s hospitality infrastructure and community readiness further strengthen its suitability for hosting such a grand event.

With the venue now confirmed, preparations are underway to ensure Tomorrowland’s successful debut in Thailand.
