2nd Army Region Commander visits injured in Ubon Hospital, praises medical teams amid border unrest

BANGKOK, Thailand – 2nd Army Region Commander Lt Gen Boonsin Phadklang visited Sappasitthiprasong Hospital in Ubon Ratchathani this morning (July 30) to offer support to those injured in the ongoing Thai–Cambodian border unrest. The visit also acknowledged the work of medical and nursing personnel providing care under demanding conditions.

Lt Gen Boonsin was welcomed by Dr. Montchai Wiwattanasitthipong, Director of the hospital, along with the executive team, doctors, and nursing staff. Hospital officials briefed him on the condition of the injured and outlined preparations for handling further medical emergencies related to the conflict.



The visit underscored the Royal Thai Army’s concern for civilians and military personnel impacted by the conflict and served to recognize the ongoing efforts of healthcare workers responding to the crisis.

Medical teams at Sappasitthiprasong remain on standby for a possible rise in patient admissions. Coordination with provincial authorities and military units is ongoing to ensure timely and organized care should the situation intensify.


Across Ubon Ratchathani and neighboring areas, local agencies, healthcare services, and the military are actively assisting those impacted. Relief efforts continue as the situation at the border develops.
