BANGKOK, Thailand – The government has confirmed that the monthly child support grant for July 2025 has been disbursed early, with over 1.4 billion baht transferred to eligible families. Deputy Government Spokesperson Sasikarn Watthanachan said the payment of 600 baht per child was issued on July 9, one day ahead of schedule, as July 10 falls on Asalha Puja Day, a national holiday. The transfer reached 2,216,284 recipients across the country.
The allowance, formally known as the “Child Support Grant” or “Allowance for the Care of Newborn Children,” is intended for families with Thai-national children. Payment status can be checked through the Department of Children and Youth’s website or via the mobile applications “Ngoen Dek” (Money for Children) and “Thang Rath.”
Sasikarn also announced that new registrations are now open nationwide, allowing families to apply based on their actual place of residence, regardless of their household registration. In Bangkok, applications can be submitted at district offices; in Pattaya, at City Hall; and in other provinces, through Subdistrict Administrative Organizations or municipal offices. Online registration is available via the “Ngoen Dek” app.
For those applying online, identity verification must first be completed through the ThaiD app, developed by the Department of Provincial Administration. Once eligibility is confirmed, payments will be backdated to the month of registration. (NNT)
