Thai MFA spokesperson confirms friendly and constructive tone in ongoing Thai-Cambodian border talks, with final outcomes expected after the meeting concludes on Sunday.

BANGKOK, Thailand Nikorndej Balankura, Director-General of the Department of Information and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, provided an update on the ongoing meeting of the Thai-Cambodian Joint Boundary Commission (JBC) in Phnom Penh on June 14.



He stated that the discussions between the two sides have been positive and constructive. However, the meeting remains in progress and will continue as scheduled. It is expected to conclude by Sunday, with a full report on the meeting’s outcomes to follow.

The JBC serves as a key bilateral mechanism under the 2000 Memorandum of Understanding between Thailand and Cambodia, aimed at resolving land boundary issues through peaceful dialogue and technical cooperation. (MFA)
