The Pattaya Elderly Association met at the Public Health Center on January 5 to celebrate the New Year and to leave offerings for the priests. Chairman of the association Pranee Maneesarn led the gathering, with 200 male and female members attending, and with singing and games making this a lively celebration.

The Royal Cliff Wine Club, under the stewardship of deputy GM Ranjith Chandrasiri, invited its members to sample no less than 10 Thai wines from the PB Valley Khao Yai winery last weekend.

Na Jomtien Mayor Srinual Makmee and Dr Wongpoom Wanasin, managing director of Pinnacle Hotel and Resort Group, jointly presided over the opening of a multi-purpose building with computer study room at Wat Na Jomtien School on December 22.

An enthralled boxing audience was in attendance at the Fairtex Thepprasit stadium last Wednesday, January 3, to witness the eagerly anticipated WBC Muaythai Interim Heavyweight title showdown between giant Dutchman Ricardo Van de Boss and Russia’s premier Muaythai fighter, Malex Gadzhiev.
