on May 7.

Cobra Gold 2006 begins next week
Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, and the United States recently announced
their participation in the Cobra Gold exercise to be held in Thailand from May
15-26, 2006.
Cobra Gold is a regularly scheduled joint and combined multi-national exercise
hosted annually by the Kingdom of Thailand. Cobra Gold 2006 is the latest in a
continuing series of exercises designed to promote regional peace and security.
This exercise marks the 25th anniversary of this regionally significant training
event.

Thailand attended a youth camp organized by the Eastern Thai Hotel
Association that aimed to enforce the message cigarette smoking is
dangerous.
