Nearly half a million cram into Pattaya for Grand International Music Festival

Traffic light system still on amber as drivers complain about tailbacks and jams
Pattaya’s traffic lights system is still causing disruption
to traffic and resulting in complaints from drivers and residents, and Deputy
Mayor Ronakit Ekasingh on March 15 called in all relevant departments to see if
the problems could be sorted out.
It is the belief amongst many that there are too many traffic lights,
particularly along Sukhumvit Road, and that they are causing many of the jams.
Ronakit said that the city has now changed to an ATC (Automatic Traffic Center)
system, with CCTVs mounted at each main road and crossroads. This system is on
trial and needs about two to three months for all the problems to be ironed out.

Assumption students learn during action-packed summer camp

Students from a school near Pattaya enjoyed an
action-packed summer camp in Thailand’s biggest national park. Nearly 100
boys from Assumption College Sriracha made their way to Khao Yai National
Park recently.

12th PC Classic sets sail this Saturday

A year passes so quickly...! It is already time for the12th Pattaya Mail PC
Classic 2006 Royal Cliff Beach Resort International Regatta which will be
held Saturday, March 25. This year’s event is dedicated to the Royal Varuna
Yacht Club’s Patron, HM the King, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of his
accession to the Thai throne.
