Pattaya Mail wins “Best in the East” award for 8th straight year

Pattaya Mail (English language newspaper) and Pattaya Blatt (German language newspaper) won the best Eastern Region foreign language newspapers promoting and supporting tourism in the region award from the Eastern Mass Media Association on National Mass Media Day, March 3. Suwanthep ‘Tony’ Malhotra (right), executive director, marketing and communications for the Pattaya Mail and editor of Pattaya Blatt received the awards of behalf of Pratheep Malhotra, managing director of the company, from Chonburi Governor Pisit Ketphasook.

Music festival will be no-alcohol zone in interests of public safety

Grand Pattaya International Music Festival 2006, to be held from March 17 to 19 along Beach Road, will be an alcohol-free zone in the interests of public safety.
A meeting was held on March 3 at Pattaya district office to discuss the safety aspects of the event, chaired by Deputy Mayor Ronakit Ekasingh and attended by representatives of Banglamung and Pattaya police stations and other safety related organizations.

Regent’s students make new friends on Round Square Service trip to Mae Hong Son

This year the Regent’s Round Square Service project aimed to help the hill tribe people living in Mae Hong Son. The preparation for the event began early in December when the coin challenge and the charity auction under the clock tower were held. The raised money had to cover the cost of three main projects that would improve the life of the hill tribe people.
