Somsak Tanruengsri (middle), general manager of the Pattaya Marriott Resort and Spa, was delighted to have recently accepted three awards from Ed Hubenette (right), senior vice president Asia Pacific Australia (APA). The awards, for “Customer Excellence, Problem Resolution”, “Customer Excellence, Problem Experience” and “Customer Excellence, Elite Recognition” were voted on by the resort’s guests. The results were compared to other Marriott properties.

An Englishman takes the crown on Independence Day

The 10th Independence Day and Richard Livingston’s 62nd Birthday tournament was played as usual at the Phoenix Golf Club over the Mountain and Ocean courses where the conditions were found to be almost perfect with little wind although the greens were a little on the long side which gave much comfort to the less able putters.
