Thousands flock to Chinese New Year celebrations on Walking Street
Bring in the Year of the GoatThe Chinese dragon and lion dance performances in Walking Street on February 1 were a great success for everyone, as nearly 10,000 people crowded into the area to view the spectacle. Many sat lining both sides of the street for two hours before the shows began, while others fought for street view tables at the first floor restaurants.

Indian man binds his heart with Thai woman
The grand wedding ceremony of Suphasit Seang-orn, aged 30, and Narzul Islam, aged 32, was held at the Welcome Plaza Hotel last weekend in a very warm and pleasant atmosphere. Over a hundred well wishers attended the lavish party and the couple was presented with lovely key chains with a portrait of King Rama V the Great, which the bride and groom respect and worship.

UK Parliamentarians, UNICEF examine child abuse: seek remedies
A recent visit to Thailand by Baroness Janet Whitaker (House of Lords) and MP Paul Holmes, accompanied by UK UNICEF National Commission Advocacy Team Manager Ms Jenny Williot, joined a number of Thailand UNICEF staff to gain first-hand knowledge of the problems of Thailand’s child sexual exploitation, trafficking of women and children and to seek ways of alleviating these and many other abuses of the Rights of the Child.

Team Thepprasit wins city’s first Anti Drugs Swimming Competition for youths between 7 and 15 years old
The team from Thepprasit earned 79 gold medals, 29 silvers, and 22 bronzes and took home the 5,000 baht cash top prize and a commemoration plate in Pattaya’s first Anti Drugs Swimming Competition for youths between 7 and 15 years old.
