The
glittering reception for the wedding of Amorn Malhotra, Managing Editor of
the Pattaya Mail, and Miss Amornrat Kaewsanit, daughter of a village chief
in Chiang Rai province, was held at the Dusit Resort in the Napalai
Ballroom.
The Mayor of Saensuk Municipality, Somchai Khunpluem, was the host of the dinner reception for the newlyweds. Other guests of honor attending the party were Police Major General Chalermdej Chompoonuj, Police Major General Pongsan Watcharaporn, Pattaya Mayor Pairat Suthithamrongsawat, and other distinguished guests from many organizations including the local Rotary Clubs, Lions Clubs, YWCA and the Red Cross. All communities in Pattaya were well represented, with over 450 people attending on the night.
The President of the Provincial Assembly, Chanyut Hengtrakul, was the MC, with Peter Malhotra, Managing Director of the Pattaya Mail, relaying the proceedings to the large English speaking contingent of guests and well wishers.
A multi-tiered cake was cut by the couple, using a ceremonial sword, and the guests were presented with slices of it. Musical entertainment was plentiful all evening, with many members of both the newlywed’s families joining the professionals on stage to serenade the happy couple.
The staff of the Pattaya Mail joins with Amorn and Amornrat’s friends to wish them all the very best for the future.
