Wang Nam Keaw High Season starts with over 90% accomodation bookings until December

Nakhon Ratchasima, 28th October 2013 Tourist destinations in Khao Yai, Wang Nam Keaw, are looking forwards to welcoming tourists during the high season, with nearly 100 per cent of accommodation booked up till the end of the year. 

According to Pongthep Malachasingh, the president of the Wang Nam Keaw tourism promotion club, the local tourism industry expects to earn up to 1.5 billion baht during this year’s high season. In addition, the temperature in Wang Nam Keaw has already dropped to 18-19 degrees Celsius, attracting large numbers of visitors to the area to enjoy the thick fog covering the area.

Winter is expected to come earlier this year as the rainy season ended earlier than usual. The Tourism Promotion Club is organizing activities to welcome this year’s high season, holding a music festival and big mountain-bike event to kick off the high season.

No less than 1 million tourists, both Thai and foreign, are expected to visit the area from November 2013 to February 2014, generating more than 1,500 million baht for the locality.
