UBON RATCHATHANI, 30 November 2013 The Ubon Ratchathani Zoo on Saturday has opened a new section called the “Mini Zoo” to house new animals from abroad in order to attract more tourists during the New Year.
Meerkats are among the cute newcomers that attract a lot of visitors, as the zoo opened the Mini Zoo section. Many tourists enjoyed feeding and taking pictures with the animals. The Mini Zoo house many animals from abroad; including red kangaroos from Australia, caiman crocodiles from Africa, golden pythons, badgers, binturongs, and many others.
The zoo organizers expected that the new animals will draw in more tourists from Thailand and neighboring countries during the New Year holiday as well as the next year.
