Tourism and E-Commerce to get a boost with “Thailand Miracle Shopping 2012”

Bangkok, 1 June 2012:  Mrs Vilaiwan Twichasri, Deputy Governor for Tourism Products and Business, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), together with Mr Gregg Hirano, vice president and country manager for Thailand, MasterCard Worldwide, today announced the launch of Thailand Miracle Shopping 2012. Local and foreign shoppers will enjoy special travel and shopping deals as well as other exciting privileges when they pay with their MasterCard cards. 

The campaign comes as a part of the continuous and long-standing relationship between the TAT and MasterCard, which have previously collaborated on numerous campaigns to support Thailand’s tourism, help fuel the overall economy, and promote e-commerce in the country.

The Thailand Miracle Shopping 2012 campaign runs from 1 June 2012 to 11 July 2012, with the travel period (for travel packages purchased) from 15 June 2012 through 30 September 2012. In additional to online shopping through www.thailandmiracleshopping.com, the privileges on Thailand Miracle Shopping will also be offered at the Thailand Miracle Shopping event to be held at Central Plaza Ladprao during 12-15 July.
