Thais traveling to South China should be mindful of tropical storm

BANGKOK, 23 June 2015 – Passengers traveling to southern China are advised to consult the weather forecast before departure, as the tropical storm ‘Kujira’ is now making landfall in the area.

According to the Meteorological Department, Kujira is currently moving across Hainan Island at a speed of 10 kmph. It is also moving toward the south of China.

The tropical storm will bring rain to the eastern part of Northeast Thailand until Thursday. Strong winds remain prevalent in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. Fishermen should proceed caution when leaving the shore.
