At a grand ceremony to mark the event, chief executives of the member airlines and invited guests, which included the governor of Shenzhen and deputy chief of the Civil Aviation Authority of China (CAAC), gathered to witness the signing ceremony between Star Alliance and Shenzhen Airlines, to become the 27th member.
