The Tourism Authority of Thailand will focus on fun, food and families to drive more tourists to the Pattaya area next year.

TAT Eastern Region Director Wiboon Nimitwanitch and new Pattaya office head Pinart Charoenpol briefed hospitality executives on TAT’s goals for 2019 at a Sept. 20 presentation at the Siam Bayshore Resort.

Overall, TAT is predicting an 11.5 percent increase in tourists, with 12 percent more international arrivals and a 10 percent increase in domestic travelers.

Wiboon said the eastern region will focus on a campaign it calls “More Fun”, emphasizing fun, adventure and challenge.

Pinart said the Pattaya office has several projects in the works targeting female shoppers, families and foodies.
