BANGKOK, 27 September 2011 -In its first ever television program, the Airport of Thailand (AoT) has unofficially launched its own channel produced by World Entertainment Network Ltd and will be broadcasting tourism and news programs that will cater to air travelers at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

World Entertainment Network Managing Director Mr. Ammarit Klomjitjaroen says Airport Vision (APV) is a TV program that provides news and entertainment programs to over 50 million passengers who come to Suvarnabhumi Airport every year.

He said the tourism industry in Thailand was already doing well and by promoting domestic tourism via Airport Vision, the industry would further thrive and benefit the economy of the country.

Through the APV programs, both domestic and international air travelers will learn more about tourist attractions in Thailand and the services provided for them in the airport itself.

The programs will be broadcast via 310 TV screens that are located around the passenger areas across the airport. All of the programs will also be linked and broadcast to other domestic airports in order to reach a larger group of tourists.

The APV has the objectives to promote the tourism industry in Thailand and Suvarnabhumi Airport. It is also aimed at bolstering the Thai economy and increasing the number of visitors to the country.

The APV Director, Mr. Toon Hiransap, said the APV would be very informative for those who were looking to travel in Thailand and a platform that would raise awareness and create positive images for the tourism industry.
